It was not a good day for Moses. He had just witnessed his people worshiping a golden calf. They had rebelled against God, and the Lord was so angry that he told Moses to go on with their trip, but he would not go with them. This deeply disheartened Moses and once again he pleaded for the people. “If your Presence does not go with us, do not send us up from here. How will anyone know that you are pleased with me and with your people unless you go with us?” The Lord answered Moses with today’s snippet. Have you ever felt the need for God’s presence in your life? Have you ever pleaded, “Lord, I can’t go it alone. I can’t take one more step without the assurance of your presence here with me?” Be confident today and every day that God’s Presence will never leave you!
A word of wisdom for a sticky note:
“God is always near us.
Always for us.
Always in us.
We may forget him, but God will never forget us!”

A closing verse:
When the shadows ’round you gather,
When the day is long and drear,
In the morning, or at midnight,
Your best friend is always near.
