Hope for Each New Day

He will guard the feet of his faithful servants. 1 Samuel 2:9

Hannah was an amazing woman. We can learn many things from her story. Although greatly saddened by her barrenness, she never stopped praying for a child. Her pleas were constant, persistent, and intense. As we continue reading her prayer, we appreciate her steadfastness more and more. This snippet shares a fact we all need to recognize. God directs our feet. Anyone who is unsteady or has difficulty walking will certainly understand her words. He guides our steps. He keeps us from stumbling and falling. He provides the strength to continue walking. He even lights our path so the way is clear. And he gives us Christ who himself is the Way for us to follow. Step by step through this life we can be confident that the Lord is there for us. Thank him for guarding and guiding your feet, faithful servant.

A word of wisdom for a sticky note:

“When you ask God to guide your footsteps, be ready to move your feet!”

Today my prayer includes . . .

thanks for this special blessing:

concern for this special person:

petition for this special problem:

 A closing verse:

O Thou whose feet have climbed life’s hill
And trod the path of youth,
Our Savior and our brother still,
Now lead us into truth.
