Rejoice that your names are written in heaven.Luke 10:20 |
It is estimated that there are over 15,000 books written about Abraham Lincoln; more than any other person. Yet as amazing as that is, our names are written in a far more important book. They are in God’s Book of Life. God is the keeper of this book, and in it are the names of every believer; people who will one day stand before God’s throne dressed in the blood of Jesus. Daniel 12:1 says, “Everyone whose name is found written in the book—will be delivered.” What a comforting and reassuring thought it is to realize that on the last day that book will be opened. And there on one of its sacred pages you will find your name written by the hand of God. Think about that today and “rejoice that your name is written in heaven!”

A closing verse:
When from earth my thoughts are winging to the heavenly mansions fair,
Let me feel the sweet assurance that my humble name is there.
Yes, ’tis there, yes, ’tis there, in Thy Book of Life so fair;
I believe, O blessed Savior, that my name is written there.
