Do not fear, for I am with you.Isaiah 41:10 |
One couldn’t help but notice during the Covid-19 pandemic how fear gripped the entire world. Fear is a very real thing. The Bible often speaks of fear. God told Isaac, Moses, Joshua, and Gideon not to be afraid. In the Christmas story Zechariah, Mary, and the shepherds were also told not to fear. The Bible mentions fear over 300 times, so God knows what our fears are all about. God, however; assures his children that there is nothing for us to fear. He assures us that he is with us every moment of the day. We need never fear the devil, our past sins, or where we will spend eternity. Nor do we need to fear situations that seem insurmountable. The Bible reassures us, “Do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand” (Isaiah 41:10). What wonderful words for you to remember. God has given you reason not to be afraid!
