Hope for Each New Day

The eyes of the LORD run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to give strong support to those whose heart is blameless toward him.

2 Chronicles 16:9 (ESV)

Israel’s King Asa began his career as one who relied on the Lord for his strength and guidance. In 2 Chronicles 15:2 God promised, “The LORD is with you when you are with him.” But soon things changed. Fearful of his enemies, he sought the aid of neighboring godless nations to help him fight instead of the Lord. This angered the Lord, and he spoke these words to Asa. They can serve as a guide for us as well. We know that nothing gets past the eyes of the Lord. He is omnipresent and sees everything. But there is more. He is also aggressively seeking those whose “heart is blameless toward him.” He is anxious to give support to those who are his children and remain faithful. As we surrender our lives to him, we begin to see his almighty power surround us with his enormous love. Thank God for actively seeking you!

A word of wisdom for a sticky note:

“The LORD is with you when you are with him!” 2 Chronicles 15:2

Today my prayer includes . . .

thanks for this special blessing:

concern for this special person:

petition for this special problem:A closing verse:

O how great and strong are the hosts of wrong
Clad in all their pomp and pride!
But we need not fear, when their ranks draw near,
For the Lord is on our side.
