Hope for Each New Day

God’s promise is complete and unchanging; he will always help me and give me what I hope for. 1 Samuel 23:5 (CEV)

In Titus 2:13 we read, “We wait for the blessed hope—the glorious appearing of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ.” Christians, through faith in Christ, know God and have hope. This is not the expectation that something may or may not happen, like hoping it will rain. It is a solid and sure hope. Our hope for heaven lies in the certainty of God’s promises. The Bible teaches that this hope is not in vain. For centuries God promised he would send the Savior. The Old Testament believers were saved through their faith. Their hope was that the Savior would come. Their hope was not misplaced, for the Savior came just as God promised. God promises that through Christ’s work of redemption, he will always help you and give you what you hope for!

A word of wisdom for a sticky note:

“Faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see!” Hebrews 11:1

Today my prayer includes . . .

thanks for this special blessing:

concern for this special person:

petition for this special problem:

 A closing verse:

My hope is built on nothing less
Than Jesus’ blood and righteousness.
I dare not trust the sweetest frame,
But wholly lean on Jesus’ name.

On Christ, the Solid Rock, I stand,

All other ground is sinking sand.
