I know you by name and you have found favor with me. Exodus 33:12

“[He] loves me every day the same; even calls me by my name.” Those words are from the beloved children’s song, “I Am Jesus’ Little Lamb.” Such comforting words teach us how much God loves us. The first words God spoke to Moses at the burning bush were, “Moses, Moses!” He called Moses by name, and Moses never forgot that. Today’s snippet was spoken by Moses as a reminder of God’s words to him. They were said right after the incident with the golden calf. Moses was distraught and wished to remind God of his faithfulness to him. What comes into your mind when you consider that God knows you by name, and he has found favor with you? As his dearly loved child those words are yours too!

A word of wisdom for a sticky note:

“The same God who named the stars knows your name too!”

Today my prayer includes . . .

          thanks for this special blessing:

          concern for this special person:

          petition for this special problem:

 A closing verse:

Before the throne of God above
I have a strong and perfect plea.
A great high priest whose name is Love
Who ever lives and pleads for me.
My name is graven on His hands,
My name is written on His heart.
I know that while in Heaven He stands
No tongue can bid me thence depart.
