As long as the earth endures, seedtime and harvest, cold and heat, summer and winter, day and night will never cease. Genesis 8:22

Someone took time to count all the promises in the Bible. The total was an amazing 8,800! These promises begin in the book of Genesis. Already in Genesis 3 God promises to send a Savior. In our snippet from Genesis 8 God makes a promise to himself that he shares with us. Scientists tell us that if the tilt of the earth changes by just one degree or the rotation slows or increases ever so slightly, the delicate balance of the earth will be drastically affected. Today’s snippet is God’s promise that the earth’s stability will remain constant and that God will sustain this delicate balance until time is ended. Praise God for assuring us that day and night, seedtime and harvest, reflect his complete control!

A word of wisdom for a sticky note:

“God is in control, even when life isn’t!”

Today my prayer includes . . .

          thanks for this special blessing:

          concern for this special person:

          petition for this special problem:

 A closing verse:

God’s promises were never known to fail!
No power of darkness o’er them shall prevail!
They are builded sure and strong
For the conflict with the wrong,
God’s promises were never known to fail!
