God’s children often speak of their “walk with the Lord.” Enoch was one man who took that quite literally. He is
only one of two people mentioned in the Bible who never died. (Elijah was the other.) Enoch was the great-great-great-great grandson of Adam. Little is written about him, but it is clear that Enoch loved to walk with God. Hebrews 11:5 tells us that, “By faith Enoch was taken from this life, so that he did not experience death: ‘He could not be found, because God had taken him away.’ For before he was taken, he was commended as one who pleased God.” Is your daily walk anchored on the wish to be faithful and to please God? Spend today walking in Enoch’s footsteps.
A word of wisdom for a sticky note:
“Those who walk with God always reach their destination!”
Today my prayer includes . . .
thanks for this special blessing:
concern for this special person:
petition for this special problem:
A closing verse:
Let us ever walk with Jesus,
Follow His example pure,
Flee the world, which would deceive us
And to sin our souls allure.
Ever in His footsteps treading,
Body here, yet soul above,
Full of faith and hope and love,
Let us do the Father’s bidding,
Faithful, Lord, abide with me;
Savior, lead, I follow Thee.
