Question: “Who shall I send, and who will go and work for us?”

Today’s question is from Isaiah 6:8

After 52 years of a peaceful reign, Judah’s King Uzziah died of leprosy. That was the same year Isaiah began his ministry. As God called Isaiah into that ministry, he gave Isaiah a very rare peek into his throne room. It was magnificent! He saw the train of God’s robe filling the room where angels were flying and calling to each other. The loud sound of their voices caused the room to shake as it filled with smoke. Then one angel touched Isaiah’s lips with a hot coal as a sign of his cleansing. Afterward the Lord asked Isaiah today’s snippet. Isaiah was honored and gladly accepted the invitation. That same question is still asked of God’s people today. Will you willingly go and share the gospel message with friends, neighbors, and family? Will you pray for those who are not of the fold? Will you go regardless of age or health? Will you answer the call to go, no matter the circumstance? Will you echo Isaiah’s answer, “Here I am, send me?”

A verse to remember:

“Preach the word; be prepared in season and out of season!”

2 Timothy 4:2

Today my prayer includes . . .

          thanks for this special blessing:

          concern for this special person:

          petition for this special problem:

 A closing verse:

There are souls who linger on the brink of woe;
Lord, I must not, cannot bear to let the
m go;
Let me go and tell them, brother, turn and flee;
Master, I would save them; here am I, send me.
