Question: “What is your name?”

Today’s question is from Luke 8:30

Names are important. They are labels that stand for who we are. Friends and family members know our name, and even the government knows it. God also knows our name. He knew what our name would be long before we were born. Not only that, God knows our address, our weight, height, and what size shoes we wear. God knows us so well that he has the exact count of how many hairs are on our head. Do you want God to know everything about you? It says in Psalm 139:13,15, “You created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb. . . . My frame was not hidden from you when I was made in the secret place.” It should make you glad knowing that God knows all about you, because it shows his love for you. He knows the good things and the bad. He knows your strengths and weaknesses. He knows how much you sin, and that you need him as your Savior. God knows you so well that he is preparing a home in heaven custom made just for you!

A verse to remember:

“You know me, LORD; you see me and test my thoughts about you!”

Jeremiah 12:3

Today my prayer includes . . .

          thanks for this special blessing:

          concern for this special person:

          petition for this special problem:

 A closing verse:

Oh, loving Shepherd, call my name,
And keep me near Your side;
For You are evermore the same,
My guardian, friend and guide.
