Daily Snippets on God’s Blessings – Wisdom

The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom.

 Proverbs 9:10

Sadly, the world looks for knowledge and tries to pass it off for wisdom. Satan loves to have everyone looking for wisdom in all the wrong places. In Romans 1:22 Paul states, “Although they claimed to be wise, they became fools.” Today’s snippet may sound like a repeat of the previous one, but there is really a world of difference. Knowledge or intelligence is found in the brain. It is of little good if we do not know how to use it. It will do us no good in navigating through this life. That ability is called wisdom. As our snippet says, wisdom can only be found in God. And not only does wisdom come from God, it is available only to God’s children. Only they can view the world through God’s glasses. When we use our knowledge as God’s Word would direct us, then we are truly wise. Notice how many times today you react to situations as God would want you to. That is using God’s gift of wisdom!

Digging deeper:

Read James 1:5. James instructs us in increasing our wisdom.

Today my prayer includes . . .

          thanks for this special blessing:

          petition for this special problem:

 A closing verse:

O happy is the man who hears
Instruction’s warning voice;
And who celestial wisdom makes
His early, only choice.
