We have different gifts, according to the grace given to each of us.
Romans 12:6
What are your special talents? Consider for a moment that God in his wisdom gave each of us unique talents to use for him and to serve those around us. Talents come in many shapes and sizes, and they may even change as we grow older. Some of us have mechanical abilities; some artistic talents. Some of us have the gift to care for others while others can speak or write. We admire a woman like Tabitha. The Bible says she was always doing good and helping the poor by sewing clothes. She used her talent to help others. Christians realize that God did not give us talents and abilities for our own benefit. They are for the benefit of others, and others have talents to benefit us. First Peter 4:10 says it well, “Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms.” What are your special talents? Think of using them today!
Digging deeper:
Read Matthew 25:14-30. Jesus shares the parable of the talents.
Today my prayer includes . . .
thanks for this special blessing:
concern for this special person:
petition for this special problem:
A closing verse:
Every work for Jesus will be blest,
But He asks from everyone his best.
Our talents may be few, these may be small,
But unto Him is due our best, our all.
