Daily Snippets on God’s Blessings – Comfort

Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort.

2 Corinthians 1:3

Where in your life today do you need a little comfort? What troubles you? Every person is different. We all suffer in different ways and need to be comforted for a myriad of upsetting problems. The concept of comfort implies that there are two sides involved: the one in need of comfort and the one who gives comfort. The need for comfort varies. It may be physical, spiritual, or emotional. Sometimes we need comfort for things done in the past, sometimes for problems we now face, and sometimes for anxiety over the future. Our snippet shows where to find lasting comfort. Jesus tells you to come to him with your worries, pains, and problems. And with that invitation he gives you his promise that you will find rest and relief.
