Daily Snippets on God’s Blessings – Vegetation

The LORD God made all kinds of trees grow out of the ground—trees that were pleasing to the eye and good for food.

Genesis 2:9

Biologists estimate there are 23,000 different types of trees around the world. They also suggest there are 223,000 different types of flowers and 4,000 varieties of vegetables. God’s blessings are overwhelming! God gave these all to us because he loves us and wants us to enjoy his marvelous creation. Jesus once pointed to a lily and said that not even wealthy King Solomon in his finest robes could compare with its beauty. God had a purpose behind this marvelous creation. Think of the many ways we use vegetation in our daily lives. There is no end to the wisdom, power, and majesty of God. The next time you see a flower, a tree, or even a simple blade of grass, stop and consider the wonder of God’s creation and then thank him for being so good and gracious.
