They all joined together constantly in prayer.Acts 1:14 |
Some people worship in large cathedrals while others worship in huts or homes. We often worship God in churches. There God reaches down to us and there we come to him with our prayers, praise, and offerings. We give God the honor, respect, and love that is due him. Worship is a blessing meant for all ages. The Bible says, “All the men of Judah, with their wives and children and little ones, stood there before the Lord” (2 Chronicles 20:13). The writers of many psalms express their joy when given the opportunity to worship God. “LORD, I love the house where you live” (Psalm 26:8). “One thing I ask from the Lord, this only do I seek: that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life” (Psalm 27:4). “I rejoiced with those who said to me, ‘Let us go to the house of the Lord’” (Psalm 122:1). What a delight it is to worship in church! Thank the Lord for such an opportunity?
